Chronic Illness Hotline

Why I Started the Chronic Illness Hotline and How You Can Help Us Launch

No One Should Have to Go Through This Alone

I didn’t set out to start an organization. I set out to survive.

I know what it’s like to live with a body or brain that doesn’t cooperate. I’ve lived through years of being dismissed by doctors, of spiraling medical costs, of careers derailed and relationships lost. I know the isolation. The uncertainty. The moments of sheer panic that hit when you realize you have no one to call and nowhere to turn.

That’s why I started the Chronic Illness Hotline, a community-based support line for anyone struggling because of their health. That includes people living with chronic illness, injury, pain, disability, and neurodivergence.

We’re building something I wish I had: a place where people can reach out and be met with compassion, understanding, and real support – by someone who gets it.

This Is Personal and Structural

I’m not just the founder, I’m a member of the very community we serve. And I bring more than my lived experience. I also have an academic background in public health, and years of research and advocacy behind me. I understand both the systemic failures and the human cost.

Building this hotline isn’t a side project. It’s the result of years of visioning, planning, and navigating setbacks that so many of us are familiar with: health relapses, lost networks, financial instability. The very things that make this work hard are also what make it necessary.

We deserve better. We deserve each other.

Help Us Build the Foundation

We are now in the early stages of launching and we need your help to lay the groundwork.

As an individual donor, your support doesn’t just help us answer calls. It helps us build the infrastructure, train peer support staff, and ensure this resource is sustainable, safe, and accessible.

This is where your gift matters most – at the beginning. When we’re setting the tone. When we’re creating something that doesn’t yet exist in this form. When we’re building together.

If you’ve ever felt invisible in a medical system not built for you…

If you’ve ever wished someone would just listen…

If you’ve ever wanted to make a tangible difference in someone’s day, or even their life…

This is your invitation.
